9pm Friday evening I headed out to Ogwen valley with @cburrowsdigital arriving around 11pm, quick gear check and we headed around Llyn Idwal and then up devils kitchen. . After having a breather and shooting the Milky Way it was time to head for the summit of Y Garn, being real steep and nothing but shale it made getting up there interesting in the dark but the bonus is when it's pitch black the summit appears sooner than you think. . We then kicked about, hiding behind the small wall on the summit keeping sheltered from the wind for a few hours whilst waiting for the sun to show its face. . Watching the sunrise in one of my favourite mountain ranges sure made for a euphoric experience and I can't wait to do it all over again. Massive thanks to @cburrowsdigital for being real good company and a laugh every step of the way. . . . . #snowdonia#visitsnowdonia#visitwales#wanderlustwales#beautifulwales#snowdoniagram#snowdonianationalpark#moodygrams#moodygrams5k#northwalesgram#thewalescollective
Helvetia wreck casting long shadows. The Helvetia was a Norwegian ship that sank in 1887, its half buried remains are on Rhossili bay beach on the Gower and can be seen emerging from the sea at low tide.
