"I just want to be high vibe only" is a common attitude in the spiritual and personal development spaces, pointed out by @wildmysticwoman as an excuse by mostly white women to not be politicized. Trying to stay high vibe to the ignorance of reality is not high vibe at all... You're vibrational energy knows everything, even when you're pretending it doesn't. I'll explain that more below.
But first, Layla points out that this attitude is a privileged position of white women to think they can ignore hate and violence because we think it doesn't effect us on a personal, day to day, basis. Not only does it physically effect us, and if we let hate and violence go unchecked, who do you think is the next target? But on a spiritual level too, because we are all connected.
I have personally been avoiding politics lately (which I'm going to write a whole essay on) under the excuse that it isn't happening in my country so it isn't my fight. But, ya, when white supremacists march in our political, economic, and geographic neighbour country, it is most definitely happening in my country too.
Now back to "high vibes". Please go back a few posts on my feed to the image of Katy Perry making an awkward face, with the question "am I high vibe yet?" You cannot force your vibration. It just doesn't work like that. As I explain in that post, being high vibe isn't about being only happy and blissed out all the time, it's about being able to confront and process low vibe stuff when it comes up and then actively move yourself back into higher energies.
When we ignore hate, pain, and fear, or we are being apathetic about it we are being low vibe.
The highest vibration is love, unconditional love.
How can you really express unconditional love today? How can you help dismantle low vibes today? (*sorry to thatgirlkaykayy for lifting your image. I'm not making fun of it or you, it's a beautiful and perfect representation of high vibes.)
