⚔Humility > Pride(Luke 18:9-14)📖✍
If it being fair was a possibility then by definition:
- I can call myself Saviour too
- I can call myself the Redeemer
- I can take part in sharing God's glory
- I can take part in God being praised even though I deserve no favor from Him
- I can take part in the honor that only belongs to God
- You might as well change that scripture "Worthy is the lamb.." and change it to worthy is the lamb...and me.
The fact is all glory, credit, power, honor, praise belongs to the HOLY ONE. It was His magnificent works and obedience that after all made us righteous(Rom 5:19, 1 Pet 1:3). Christ is our primary focus at ALL times, we are to look to Him(Micah 7:7). There is NO WAY we'd be able to stand before God and say "well I know you helped a little bit... BUT none of this would've happened if it weren't for me...I take the driving seat when it comes to my eternal destination, and with my works, pshhh I was going to enter anyway, unlike those filthy sinners over there." This type of talk diminishes all of what Christ has done for us. Let alone gives off a sense of pride. There's only one mediator between God and man and it certainly isn't us.(1 Tim 2:5) People being ignorant of God's righteousness attempt to establish their own. Looking at the finished work of Jesus that is more than enough evidence to give the glory only the Most High is entitled to.⚔💙💯
"Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength."
