“Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.”

In the world we live in scarcity is normal, prevalent even.In fact scarcity increases value; the scarcer it is, the more it is yearned. So the idea that "there is never enough" is deepened in our consciousness. "It can never go around" is almost a mantra. And even when it seems like it will, it stops when it's our turn. What a lie! The sky is an obvious evidence to dispute such belief. For the stars as massive as each are they don't jostle for space, there is more than enough space for each. However greed, mismanagement, selfishness together have championed this illusion spearheaded by the devil. So there is something we seemingly lack, another that is insufficient, and one that we may never have - so we defeatedly think.
Friend! As long as you need it, it exists. And if it exists then you can have it because it is available. In our text, the multitude where hungry so they needed to eat.And because they needed to eat, there must be food.A lad had two loaves and five fishes, and regardless the size it was still food. And because there was food, it had to go round and even remain.Astonishing how it all played out, however it was an indication and illustration that with God all that we will ever need not only exists but there is always enough, or better still more than enough. So be immune to the paranoia the world suffers from, that's why they resort to greed and selfishness. But rather reinforce your belief that with God it is not only enough but always in abundance.
