This mural was created on Saturday, during the @PeaceDayNTX Launch Party, which was attended by Dallas City Councilman Adama McGough (District 10). He spoke to the crowd at hand and voiced a special dedication of the mural for the the city of Dallas. - #DallasTexas
Traveling Mural Artist @RendaWriter completed the mural after roughly 14 hours of writing. He wrote "World Peace" over and over, like he always does, but this mural was a little bit different because it served as a way to add to the mural that was already there, a depiction of Paz - @paz_lenchantin - of #ThePixies which was created by famed #Graffiti artist, @MuckRock of #LosAngeles
Renda Writer estimates that the mural says World Peace about 1,000 times, and he even implemented the added touch of switching up the verbiage to say "Paz Mundial" ("World Peace" in Spanish) around the illustration of Paz Lenchantin, and also blended the colors to go from dark blue on the outer edges, to a lighter blue moving inward, and pink in the middle, surrounding the central figure of Paz, representing a masculine and feminine balance.
On Saturday, #RendaWriter will leave Dallas and head to El Paso, to create World Peace Mural #39 and then will continue West to create murals in #Gallup #NewMexico and #SanDiego and #LosAngeles #California
The installation of his Los Angeles will take place on July 22nd, 2017 at @Gallery38 Everyone in the greater Los Angeles area is invited to attend and watch at the mural is created.
