In a haze, half-asleep in this cedarwood cabin on wheels, en route to Memphis from some middle of the night roadside respite in some Alabama town I didn't even ask the name of before my head hit the pillow. Still blissed out from our short time in Atlanta, the deep wandering both on foot and in my mind, the connections brief but meaningful beyond belief with those who traveled far just to have our paths meet for one instant. I'm lucky to say these songs of mine both new and old sit somewhere in the middle of the transaction, but I'm even more grateful to remind myself that it is ultimately always our hearts bursting out from our chests that make the connection directly no matter the medium. That's the art. Willingness and openness to love.
From a walk up the street to an unexpected dinner at a hillside castle and a sunset tour of a property in progress by the traveling soul who'd saved it from demolition, to the sheer openness and kindness of the spirits who'd driven from near and far to help us send our songs along the way - I'm amazed as always by the magic we make when we bring our entire selves joyfully to any given instant on earth. Can't wait to see you all in Memphis tonight & looking forward to making our way out west for the second half of this tour. For those of you who can't make it to a show, or just want to grab the album early, pre-orders have begun to arrive in mailboxes throughout the land, so make sure you head over to iamzacclark.store and order your copy today- cheers & thanks again.
