#1empty1newbie | retinoid serum 💥
Too many skincare products? Is your skincare collection growing faster than your capacity to fully enjoy it? My personal tip: ONE EMPTY = ONE NEWBIE (aka avoid buying a new product before finishing an equivalent one) 😉
#deciem The Ordinary 2% Advanced retinoid is my FAVORITE product of The Ordinary: it works, it is gentle and mega affordable 👌- perfect to use in the facial skin but also in the back of the hands and #takeittothetits ☺️It contains 0.1% retinol + 1.9% hydroxypinacolone retinoate - a gentler retinoid (also used in #sundayriley Luna Oil or #Pestle&Mortar Superstar retinol night oil) that is not yet as studied as retinol. Hence, I like to alternate it w/ a serum w/ higher concentration of retinol like the #paulaschoice 1% retinol booster (an old fave of mine). I will def. re-purchase 2% retinoid by The Ordinary once I have enough things to justify an order from Deciem.

#medik8 10TR balm: as mentioned above, I love love love the PC 1% retinol booster but... I wanted to try something new (to better judge on how good is PC retinol booster) and I decided for this medik8 balm. Before committing to a full size I bought this 5mL sample in a Swiss retailer for less than 3€. It's a fragrance-free balmy serum w/ a simple INCI: 1% encapsulated retinol (a concentration that I already know my skin is happy with), vitE (a potent antioxidant that also works as retinol stabilizer) and abyssinian oil (improves skin's texture and suppleness).
The Medik8 slow-release technology allows slow delivery of retinol, avoiding possible irritationI. In fact, I used it every night for a week and my skin was not irritated, not dry, not sensitized – just happy 🙌
📌 [NEWBIE] = [EMPTY 2]
Due to all of the above-mentioned reasons, I decided to buy the full-size of Medik8 10TR balm 💚
📍curiosity: this is the retinol serum used by @drsambunting in her PM routine video!
