Hi amigos, happy Monday! Thought I’d show you a picture of my first of FOUR bowls of these sprouted oat O’s cereal I just ate for a little afternoon snack 😋

I don’t know about you, but some days I wake up feeling like a bottomless pit. Like I could eat anything and everything within my reach! But instead of beating myself up about it today, I’m trying to honor my appetite and tune into what my body craves and needs. The way I see it is, I can splurge on any type of whole foods and not feel bad about it. As long as I’m fueling my body with enough fruits, veggies and plenty of greens I can’t go wrong. How do you deal with your bottomless pit days? 🤔 .

#whatsonmyplate : salad leaves, one soft-boiled egg (8mins), asparagus, green beans, sweet potatoes, half an avocado. Pepper, pink himalayan salt, hemp and chia seeds.
For the dressing : skyr, lemon and lime juice, pepper, pink himalayan salt. You add as much as you like. That is BOMB 😍😍

Dans mon assiette : de la mâche, asperges, haricots verts, patates douces, un oeuf mi-dur ( 🤷🏻‍♀️ 8mins de cuisson), un demi avocat. Sel rose d'himalaya, poivre, jus de citron, graines de chanvres et de chia.
Pour la sauce : skyr ( un pot à yaourt), jus de citron et de citron vert, poivre, sel rose d'himalaya. Les doses c'est selon vos préférences 🤗

I caught a bit of the @rachaelrayshow today (while I was roasting my lunch, seen here) and Rachael had on the hosts of @therealdaytime Both shows have helped so many people and I’ll always be big fans. In one segment Rachael Ray asked each of the host to write a letter to their 13-year-old self. I think about this all the time and every now and then my lists changes slightly. We evolve and learn more I suppose. But I started creating my own letter/list awhile back and here’s a few excerpts:
• the labels and categories people put you in have no truth, because you’re the only person who can define those roles.
• being saved one day will be the one thing that will begin your journey of peace. • not everyone is meant to get you or like you... but you need not care nor focus on that, it’s irrelevant.
• Love is not an emotion, it’s life. It’s purpose. • there will come a day when the only people who can make you truly laugh and breathe, after a long day, are your children and your husband. • all the worries and stresses you thought existed in your teens and twenties aren’t as bad as they seemed. They won’t compare or seem important when you realize that the person you were all along and the work you put in all this time, lead you to today. Today has really felt like a Monday 😓. I’m fairly certain my 2 year old has made it his life mission to figure out what annoys me and then do those things all day long. .
It probably also doesn’t help that my pregnant hormones are raging and I’m trying to potty train. I’m really wishing I could have a glass of wine right now! Or 6... 😁

What’s better than enjoying a Chicken Caesar salad on a cool Fall day? Enjoying it over good conversation and the company of a friend.
The olives were stuffed with preserved lemon, something I found when I decided to dissect one to find out what the flavor was. It was subtle, plus perfect with the olive and the salad.
Today I spent some time unplugged from work and demands of every day life. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, so taking care of me has become a higher priority than usual.
After all, if we can’t take care of ourselves, we won’t have anything to give to others.
