If you are really serious about your music and want to live your dreams doing what you love, then you must BRAND yourself. So many artist make the mistake of copying what other artist are doing. You need to build a brand. A brand, basically put, is a consistent message and theme. It’s what you do, and how you look. It is not created on accident, brands take time and consistency to develop.
Branding is one of the main reasons I keep reminding artist to mix and master their tracks professionally before letting people hear them. It sets you apart from everybody else that HASN’T gotten their music mixed and mastered. And that’s more than 90% of artist. They simply don’t know anything about sound quality, or are just too anxious to show the world what they came up with. So just by mixing and mastering your music alone, it will SOUND BETTER than most music being put out. How good it’s mixed plays a part in how much people will like your music. Music is all about how it makes people feel. When you understand how much sound quality plays a part in people feeling your music or not, you won’t just put out anything that doesn’t SOUND professional.
Separating yourself from everybody else that’s making music is important and will determine how successful you will be in your music career. Once you start developing a strong brand, people that don’t understand branding will wonder how you're doing it. That’s when you can tell them it's all about branding.

It is with great sadness that we
learned of the passing of comedic legend and civil rights activist Mr. Dick Gregory. His publicist of 50 years, Steve Jaffe,
announced Dick Gregory departed this earth yesterday, Saturday, August 19th 2017 in Washington, DC. at the age of 84. He was surrounded by family and friends, including his wife of 58 years, Lillian, who all loved him dearly.
The family appreciates the outpouring of support and love and respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time. Our hearts go out to the Gregory family and we send them our prayers and love as a comforter and thank Mr. Dick Gregory for all the laughs and lessons in leadership against civil injustice! Thank you, Dick Gregory, you left us all a message of empowerment and you will be greatly missed! Rest In Paradise, Brother King! From @macliferadio and the creator and host @mac_fame_tha_great

On July 20th, 2017, O.J. Simpson, the former NFL star famously acquitted of murder, was granted parole on Thursday and is expected to walk free in October after being jailed nine years ago for a botched robbery attempt. “I am sorry the things turned out the way they did,” Simpson, 70, said via video conference with the Nevada board of parole commissioners. “I had no intention to commit a crime.” Four commissioners voted unanimously to grant Simpson’s parole after a nearly 90-minute hearing.

Simpson smiled as the four commissioners announced their ruling one by one; he bowed multiple times after the 4-0 decision was announced.

As he left the courtroom, he thanked the people around him and put his hand to his heart before clasping his hands together while bowing slightly toward the commissioners. “It was a serious crime and there was no excuse for it,” said commissioner Tony Corda, but he said he reached the decision because Simpson was at “low risk to re-offend” and had served enough prison time in the case.

Simpson was convicted of robbery, kidnapping and assault charges in October 2008 after a bizarre incident in which he, with armed men, attempted to retrieve sports memorabilia he said belonged to him from a Las Vegas hotel room.

Simpson has served the minimum nine years of his 33 year sentence for the robbery and could be released as early as 1 October, which is guaranteed to spark a media frenzy.

Parole commissioners questioned Simpson from the state capital, Carson City, and he responded via videoconference from the Lovelock correctional center, more than 100 miles away.

Simpson’s hearing was broadcast live on television, an echo of the so-called Trial of the Century in 1995, when Simpson was tried, and acquitted, in the murder of of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman.

This has been a @macliferadio news update! We wish the entire Simpson Family the peace and blessings of The Creator!
