Synchronicity: a concept which holds that events are meaningful coincidences if they occur with no casual relationship yet seem to be meaningfully related.
I've always believed the universe will guide me in the direction I need to be headed, and today this was reinforced yet again. As I strolled through the small town of New Hope this afternoon, I was tempted to go inside of a small thrift bookstore. Something about the smell of the worn pages and the collection of worlds unknown makes me feel small again. I ran my fingers down each spine, and slowly perused the inner flaps of all of the novels, eventually coming across "the Law of Love". Initially intrigued by the author, who wrote "Like Water for Chocolate" (my favorite read from high school), I opened the cover to skim the premise of the book. You see, I've always believed in a love that defies all time and space, and whether or not I've found that in the short 24 years I've been alive, I know it exists because I feel it every day. Like an invisible thread, there is something that connects me to another half, a part of me I have yet to realize. Set in the third century, this book tells the tale of an astroanalyst who must travel through 14,000 lives and across the galaxy to reunite with her twin soul.
Needless to say, whatever led me to find this gem that laid within the thousands of used books in the store, it wants to reassure me that what I feel and know in my heart is real, exists ❤️ ॐ
