Colour clash! 💚❤️ When two collide... I use this Instagram page to mainly post about all the plant based foods I eat. I try to show a broad spectrum. And I also do this because I want this page to spread awareness about animal rights. I follow a lot of activists who bear witness at farms and slaughter houses, mainly Australia but also in the UK and I see a lot of images. These are the ones most people want to forget about. Turning a blind eye to where our food actually comes from. The want to forget the fact that it was once a living, breathing, feeling being like you or me. Just like a beloved pet you would even call a family member in fact. Even in the UK the importance of animal welfare is considered much higher than the rest of the world but what the industry still choose to leave out is the final end of these poor victims. There is no such place as a happy slaughter house. Pigs have to gassed to death for example. There is no bolt to the head. These sentient beings that we know are in fact extremely intelligent, more so than the average dog, have to suffocate in gas that burns their lungs til the end. They scream and writhe fighting for escape but they can't. I am spurred on every day to do something to help. I have to do something about it and never to get complacent because those poor victims and most of them are still considered babies, are needing all of us to do something to stop this barbaric unnecessary slaughter. Everyone has a choice to stop this, all it takes is lack of consumer demand. It rips into my heart seeing their suffering but I will never turn my back on them because they need all of us to do something. This is an evil of our time. Please for them, go vegan. Please don't turn your back. Please turn on that innate goodness for all animals I know everyone has hiding behind this depraved social programming. There are the largest range of vegan options now for food of any variety more than ever. Many may never bother reading this til the end but if you do please take time to think about this.
