it's a rarity to find a car-free curb in the south end. even more so in front of two of my favorite doors. jackpot! #saturdoor

I am holding on for sunshine and longer days, but this last stretch of winter is always hardest for me. I've drank all the coffee, caught up on Homeland and sat so close to the fireplace that my fleece nearly caught fire. But today I saw big patch of purple crocuses. And I know that means farmers markets, Spring Break and running in the rain aren't far behind. #southtacoma #tudor #thefrontdoorproject #greyskies

I really appreciate a beautiful front door. It's the first impression your guest will have when entering your home. This one makes me feel like I'm on Nantucket or in SF even. 🏑 #thefrontdoorproject

Finally painted this door. I considered leaving it the way I found it, but thought best I protect and preserve it.

YOU GUYS. I thought I had lost all of the D.C. photos I had taken with my phone. Turns out, my work computer automatically saved them to Dropbox before deleting them. So, when I logged into my professional Dropbox account today, I found every single one of my images. Huzzah for happy accidents!

Yesterday @tinkertailoronline tagged me in #mytenthings from @mad_about_the_house so here goes. 10 things that make my house a home...
1. The front door. I have a thing with doors, don't you know? It's the gateway to my favourite place in the whole world. Home 🏑
2. Books. I collect art, design, plant, and interior books and am FINALLY creating our little hallway library. We're getting there πŸ˜…
3. Photos. Our hallway is home to lots of lovely photos of family and friends. We had them printed by @cheerz and put them into white @habitatuk frames.
4. Indoor plants. As we don't have an outside space, I love bringing a bit of the outdoors in. We have a growing cacti collection as well as the start of a faux living wall which I am having so much fun working on 🌿
5. Tea. Tea plays a HUGE part in our home. @teapigs . Only @teapigs. Nothing else. We love tea at literally any time of the day.
6. The Sheepie. I recently bought the most gorgeous rug from @laredoute_uk and it's ended up on the sofa because it's just so cosy. You'll find me curled up on there at any given opportunity. πŸ‘
7. The Dining Table. It was one thing we truly wanted when we pulled the wall down in the flat and had space for one. It's in between the kitchen and living space in an open plan room so it was so important we got it right. It's where we eat, drink, work, catch up, and entertain. We love it!
8. Our Bed. The most comfortable, amazing, squishy bed aptly named 'The Cloud'. It's my most favourite place to sit and chill ✨
9. The Radio πŸ“» I'm not really one for TV. I can't actually remember the last time I watched actual real life tele. I always have some crappy radio station on in the background. Magic Chilled is my current guilty pleasure πŸ’πŸΌ
10. Last but definitely not least, home wouldn't be home without my lovely fiancΓ©. He's a keeper!
I challenge @emmalouisegoy, @socialmouthsam, @beetsandbirch, @thoughtfullythrifted
What makes your house a home?
By the way this πŸ‘†πŸΌ isn't my home, I'm just obsessed with the foliage archway and blue front door 😍

Happy Wednesday lovely people! So this house here is on the outskirts of the most gorgeous mews in Central London. If anyone wants to loan me £3million to buy a place here I'd be totally OK with that. Promise I'll pay you back 😬
Totally obsessing over the charcoal brick walls, draping foliage, and the PINK BIKE OUT THE FRONT 😱 Total dream home goals right there! πŸ‘†πŸΌI wonder what it looks like on the inside!? πŸ€”

Knock knock! Guess who's making a book with us!? We are beyond thrilled to announce that we've joined forces with the inimitable Deb Cohen, creator of the beloved @thefrontdoorproject, to publish a book showcasing front doors across New England. Whether you're a lover of architecture, a history buff, or a design fanatic, you know what we're talking about: the front door is the gateway to the soul of your home. And no one captures that feeling quite like Deb.
Follow along as she seeks out the most charming and interesting front doors and homes across New England. Better yet: tell her where to go next! Share your best nooks and crannies - those special spots that no one knows about - in the comments below or using #thefrontdoorproject and Deb will add them to her (growing) list. [Link in profile.]

All the rooms upstairs in our farmhouse have heavy gunstock corner posts- a telltale sign of 17th/18th century construction- the post is flared: larger at the top and narrows toward the floor- tapered like the gunstock of a rifle. In some rooms they're painted but we left them natural in the playroom- the warm wood works well with the gold I think! If you're new to our feed, our historic New Hampshire farmhouse just went up for sale, listed for $329,000 through Better Homes and Gardens @betterhomesandgardens !Check out the link in our profile for more information. .
