⚠️Warning: I’m going to go on a very important rant. Did you know that modern footwear is the root cause of many foot, knee and hip problems? This is because conventional shoes are not often shaped like a natural human foot and include extra cushioning (that blinds your foot from the ground below) and arch support (which makes your arch weaker). Most shoes narrow around the toes when in reality the toe area should be the widest part of the foot. A lifetime of wearing modern shoes makes your feet shoe shaped instead of foot shaped. If you’re a runner, you’ve probably developed an injury or two while training (I know I have😫) and you think a solution to the problem is buying fancy, super support running shoes... but these will only make the problem worse. Imagine breaking your arm and having to wear a cast for 3 months. When you take it off, your arm is stiff and weak. Same goes with your feet. Shoes are a cast, and your feet become weaker and weaker unless you actually use them. Nature made the perfect running “shoes” for you, your feet! Don’t let them waste away along with the hundreds of dollars you spend on running shoes.
