Two girl friends from our church community group offered to take a boy each today. It came at the end of a particularly wearisome week and on a day that Geoff worked outside of the house and Abraham only wanted to sleep on me.
These girls and their families are my family, as are the rest of our community group. For that matter, as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, our first brother. And at times, family is messy; it’s hard, isn’t it? But it has always been worth the costs, the sacrifices, the time, the burdens. We don’t do it perfectly, but the perfect love of our Father weaves us together and the richness of his love abounds.
