HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE SAID "WHEN I HIT MY GOAL WEIGHT, THEN I’LL TRULY BE HAPPY!"? " MY LIFE WILL FINALLY BE COMPLETE WHEN I SEE "ONE"DERLAND?
This is a 🚂 of thought that prevents us from fully loving ourselves. It's as if we don't have any self worth until we fit a certain mold.
I felt that way about myself up until about 2 years ago.
My former self talk was the same thought process which made me hate who I was
Because when life got tough, I would fall short.
And when I didn't reach my goal, I felt horrible and extremely depressed.
It wasn't til I started to learn how love myself RIGHT NOW AT THIS VERY MOMENT IN TIME.
I couldn't rely on a number, a piece of clothing, a person or any other external factor for my happiness anymore. I had to LOVE MYSELF from the inside out.
Now I watch the inner conversation I hold in my head on the daily.
Even with simple thoughts like "IM HAPPY THAT I JUST FIT INTO my goal PANTS......... but.... I still got a belly😕", That kind of inner dialogue is detrimental to my self worth. I catch that thought every now and then ,and I reframe that conversation to something like "my body will change how it wants to change.... I still got into my goal pants! And that's a beautiful thing!!" THE HARDEST PART OF TRANSFORMATION IS NOT THE METHOD YOU USE TO GET TO YOUR GOALS.
ITS LEARNING HOW TO LOVE YOURSELF THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE JOURNEY. THRU THE GOOD AND THE BAD.
I don't curse much but I will for this post
LOVING YOURSELF IS FUCKING HARD. But it's worth it!
