Her story was unpredictable as she had no control over how her journey would begin or end. The only predictable things to her were the sun and the moon’s journeys as every spark returns to darkness and every sound to silence.

Hers was still a mystery. But she knew it was her ultimate ART and for that she had to create a masterpiece!  She came into this world a blank canvas and when it was all said and done, she had to leave as a masterpiece, one that had been beautifully marred by all of life’s wonders.
.
.
She had a big heart to endure both sorrows and pain, with a strong mind for peace and chaos to coexist. Every time she was chipped, she would pick up her  shattered pieces bit by bit and recreate her life, just like any piece of art. Lessons learned added nuance to her being.

Every morning I wake up to this amazing view from my apartment! And every morning I am in awe of how much beauty this beautiful continent holds! Africa is a gem!

And although many a times with the biased media outlets focusing more on what's wrong with it, I think it's time we rewrite our own stories of what Africa actually entails!

You feel gripped to observe that your world is limited and you can't experience other landmasses. It leaves you wondering at valiant souls who managed to come out of the same grip and are roaming the world like the whole universe belongs to them. We call them the 'avid travelers' and it is very easy to recognize them.

Did you know: The River Okavango, which rises in the highlands of Angola, never reaches the sea; instead its mighty waters empty over the sands of the Kalahari. ~
~
One of the most sought after wilderness destinations in the world, the Okavango Delta gives entrance to the spectacle of wild Africa such as dreams are made of – the heart-stopping excitement of big game viewing, the supreme tranquility and serenity of an untouched delta, and evocative scenes of extraordinary natural beauty.

A journey to the Okavango Delta – deep into Africa’s untouched interior – is like no other. Moving from wetland to dryland – traversing the meandering palm and papyrus fringed waterways, passing palm-fringed islands, and thick woodland, resplendent with lush vegetation, and rich in wildlife – reveals the many facets of this unique ecosystem, the largest intact inland delta in the world.

The Okavango Delta is situated deep within the Kalahari Basin, and is often referred to as the ‘jewel’ of the Kalahari.
That the Okavango exists at all – deep within this thirstland – seems remarkable. Shaped like a fan, the Delta is fed by the Okavango River, the third largest in southern Africa. It has been steadily developed over the millennia by millions of tonnes of sand carried down the river from Angola.

Bandiagara (Land of the Dogons) is a small town and urban commune
in the Mopti Region of Mali. The name translates roughly to "large eating bowl"—referring to the communal bowl meals are served in.
~
~
It is an outstanding landscape of cliffs and sandy plateaux with some beautiful architecture (houses, granaries, altars, sanctuaries and Togu Na, or communal meeting-places).
~
~
Several age-old social traditions live on in the region (masks, feasts, rituals, and ceremonies involving ancestor worship).
~
~
The geological, archaeological and ethnological interest, together with the landscape, make the Bandiagara plateau one of West Africa's most impressive sites.

Simien Mountains National Park, in northern Ethiopia is a spectacular landscape, where massive erosion over millions of years has created jagged mountain peaks, deep valleys and sharp precipices dropping some 1,500 m.
.
.
The park is of global significance for biodiversity conservation because it is home to globally threatened species, including the iconic Walia ibex, a wild mountain goat found nowhere else in the world, the Gelada baboon and the Ethiopian wolf.

Abu-Simbel Temples

They are undisputedly one of the world’s most breathtaking monuments, and Egypt’s second most visited touristic site, the Pyramids of Giza being on the top of the list. The relocation of the temples was a historic event in the 1960’s. At that time, the temples were threatened by submersion in Lake Nasser when the High Dam was constructed. The Egyptian government with the support of UNESCO launched a world wide appeal to save these colossal landmarks. They were successfully dismantled and relocated to a spot 60 meters above the cliff where they had been initially built.

If I am to loose my path and get lost in the midst of it all, Lord, Please remind me of who I am and let me not stray away further from my cause.
.
.
Remind me to be humble, composed, compassionate and grateful for every little thing!
.
.
Remind me to chase memories and not things!
.
.
And when I get to the end of the road, when my time on this earth would be depleted , remind me of a life well lived, of the memories collected and created, of the footprints I left in every corner of this earth!
.
.
Remind me that I did it all! With no Regrets!

She accepted that not everything is meant to be. And she wasn’t going to let the fear of moving on hold her back from getting what she deserved. She was never created to be taken for granted.

They may never say a word to each other again, and that may be for the best, but she knew they were okay or rather would be okay. She prayed for him daily hoping that he may find the peace he desperately sought after so he wouldn’t have to rob others of theirs to make himself feel whole.

He gave her a new perspective! A perspective to embrace her singularity. She is choosing to be single not because she lacks options but because she has a choice. A choice to refuse to let her life be defined by a relationship status. A choice to live everyday happily. A choice to never settle for anything less than what she deserves for the fear of being alone.

A choice to let the universe figure out her ever after
