Visiting Nara was one of the highlights of our Japanese trip🇯🇵
The ancient Japanese capital is situated about 45 minutes outside of Kyoto and is a home for these cute sika deers - which, once a sacred animal, now are proclaimed Japanese national treasure. I assume they are not considered "wild life", but
they roam freely among the visitors, shrines and trees. You can buy special deer crackers (shika-senbei) from the little booths situated around the park and feed them. The usual way is to bow, offering deer a cracker, and they will bow back before eating. Sometimes they are not so polite and kick or butt you if you dont give the cookie fast enough🦌🤣 Some were asking me about my personal style, so here is a quick overview: 👗silk skirt is a vintage piece bought for 8$ on Melrose, LA.
The velvet jacket is also vintage, this time from Berlin, flea market in Charlottenburg.
👞And the adorable polka-dot shoes are from one of my favorite shoe designers @chiemihara.
