Of David. A maskil. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Psalm 32:8 #NIV #Psalm328 #youversionbibleapp #youversionbibleverseoftheday #youversionbibleappimages #ofDavid #amaskil David was a maskil: someone versed in Hebrew literature. Someone who wrote what was truly on his heart from the Lord and worshipped Him passionately. Why do people tend to tell new Christians to start with reading Psalms first sometimes? Because it’s a whole book praising God and why we should praise Him. It explains a lot of things about Who He is and is just plain beautiful. I haven’t read it all in a while so I can’t tell you everything in there word for word, but this is the impression that has stuck with me and how I personally interpret Psalms. David was an imperfect person but we know for sure that he loved God very much based on what he has written. So many Psalms are written into worship songs for a reason, and I love finding them as I read sometimes; it makes a lot of the things about God make sense because the Words written and sung have true meaning and proof from a Source. It helps me to know that Christian lyricists are taking God VERY seriously and drawing from the Words He spoke or were spoken to worship Him. Thank You Lord for Your Word and we love You very much; we worship You and YOU ALONE!!!!!!!!!!! #weworshiponeGod #wepraiseYouGod #wepraiseYouJesus #WELOVEYOULORD!!! #thankYouGod #thankYouJesus #YES #AMEN!!!!!!
