School started so I'm back to work with the kiddos πŸ“šπŸ“– And although I don't have time to sit and enjoy my coffee in the mornings at home anymore, @ieatprotein makes such an easy grab and go option. I talk about this product a lot cause ya girl loves her coffee πŸ’• And I'm all about convenience! If I'm running late it's okay because I know I have a tub here at work and can have a cup whenever I need an extra boost of energy.

ICCED COFFEE:
Fill shaker/blander with 8 ounces of cold water/milk, add some ice and 1scoop of Coffee with Hi-Protein. Shake or blend for 30 seconds then add ice cubes.
HOT COFFEE:
Add 1 scoop of iEatProtein Coffee to 8 ounces of warm water/milk. Shake or blend for 30 sec.

Single Armed Arnold's can be very humbling if you've never done them before! I started doing there at 40 lbs just to get the form down. They will show you very quickly which shoulder is lacking, promise. I've used it over the last few months to help equalize my strength in both arms, and it has helped a ton. Next shoulder day try it out and let me know what you guys think! Let's kill it today and start the week off right!!

Abs are starting to make a little appearance.. but don't let the shadow of the blinds fool you so you gotta look closely haha πŸ™ˆ I've never really had abs before so this is super exciting for me! Things I think that have helped:
1) Consistent weekly ab training. I don't do a whole lot of ab work, just a few exercises twice a week. But the biggest thing this prep is doing them consistently. I used to avoid abs or skip them if I was running late so they weren't a priority before. Now I make sure to not neglect them! Abs, like other muscles, need to be built and sculpted too. I do a mix of weighted and non weighted exercises.
2) Getting leaner, obviously. Genetically I don't have abs so I have to diet down in order to see any definition. I don't cut out any foods or sodium but will reduce foods that personally cause me to bloat around checks ins or certain events.
3) Using @steelfitusa Abs of Steel cream and a waist wrap during cardio sessions. *Note that this is not a magical product that guarantees abs, they help with reducing water retention and increasing energy in your abdominal region.
4. Drink lots of water! I drink a gallon each day. Staying hydrated helps naturally flush out your body and actually reduces water retention.

How I stay on track when I go out to eat on prep. *I want to preface this by saying if you are a regular lifestyle client or someone who simply wants to live a healthier lifestyle you do not need to be this extreme/accurate, and I encourage you to not fear restaurants and implement flexibility into your diet.* - Pick simpler items on the menu that you can easily track, it's hard to know all the ingredients that go into dishes so simple is better
- Ask for your entry to be cooked without oil or butter
- Or ask for dressings/sauces on the side (I personally will pass on both)
- Opt for plain or steamed veggies
- Pick more voluminous foods that will help keep you more full.. like salads of dishes with lots of veggies
- Use online nutrition calculators to preplan your meal before you get to the restaurant
- If possible try to preplan the rest of your meals/day around this meal, focusing on micro nutrient dense foods
Overall, don't be afraid to ask for accommodations! Most restaurants are very willing to help out their customers. But just remember to be polite to the waitstaff 😊 And be very thankful and appreciative that they were able to meet your dietary needs. Prep can be extreme at times but you should still be able to enjoy yourself and not feel super restricted for the majority!
