I remember when I was a young girl picking up a camera for the first time. It was an old family film camera, you know, the ones you took to Walmart filled out the packaging, dropped the role of film in then waited a few weeks to pick up the images in stores. Do you remember these? The anticipation of those images brought so much excitement and I was so lucky my parents would let me grab a new role of film to use in the camera and capture whatever caught my eye! .
In high school I received my first DSLR digital camera and it was the best present ever! Now, I could practice my photography in a whole new way! My favorite time spent behind the lens was taking photos at my brothers baseball games. Timing the plays just right to capture the action, emotion and athleticism of a play! Many of my favorite images are from those days at the ball field, standing out in the warm sun. .
Through college I transitioned into portrait and lifestyle photography, capturing students and families at the university. Now working as a creative photographer for small business owners I capture a wide variety of images that showcase the heart behind a company! I tell the story of what they do, who they are and the client experience they provide. It's is such an honor to be involved on their business journey and help them grow their brands through captivating images that resonate with their ideal audience! .
Isn't it amazing when we find our passions and how it can transform our lives? Looking back at that old film camera that got this whole journey started! What is your biggest passion? How old were you when you discovered this interest? I can't wait to hear your story!! #thelovelycreative
