This post is for my baby girl Reena 😍🐶 #babygirl
AKA: My #rida .
I first saw her at the animal shelter in San Marcos when I was so sure I didn't want a dog.
Something about her caught my attention. She kept popping in my dreams night after night.
I knew at that point I needed to adopt her.
I rushed back to the shelter a week after and she had a "+" on her papers.
That meant heartworm positive.
Damn, I'm a college student and have no money to care for a dog that is heartworm positive.
I was willing to risk being broke to have her in my life.
The #SPCA let me adopt her for free 🙏🏼 and guess what.. she came up negative for heartworm!!!
She is a blessing in my life.
Reena has taught me to how to be responsible for another being in any state of my life.
Don't get a dog just to fill a void. Let the dog choose you and make your life better 💜
