Srivaikuntam is the major stop on the Tirunelveli-Tiruchendur main road, on the banks of river Tamrabharani. Another major stop nearby is Eral. Most of the pilgrims who plan to visit the nava-tirupati temples hire a taxi which takes them from temple 1 to 8 (in the order specified below). If the number of pilgrims is small, rickshaws are available from Srivaikuntam, charging a minimum of 500/- per person, to take you around all nava-tirupati temples covering a distance of approximately 40km. Take food and water along. Another option, if you wouldn’t mind the heat and crowd, are the SETC and the private buses (assuming time isn’t a concern as well). Unless you end up on the day of a festival, you can visit all the nine temples within a day. Begin early in the morning. Watch out for the temple timings.
