either way, i'm still bringing this pure madness to my good friend @laurafruitfairy 50k party! i know laura is more into #fairybowl, pancake stacks and other savory buddha bowls, but i'm still dreaming of a portobello bun burger she did a little while ago and thought why not sharing my own burger with her today! i know my bun isn't made of portobello, but i still hope you'll love it laura!
laura also asked us to share our most important life lesson, which turns my burger post into a very serious one! i guess believing in me and trying to be more confident would be my answer to it, even tho it's sill a work in progress for me. i'm always the first one to doubt of my own worth, which makes it hard to keep going in life, but slowly and surely, i'm making this my ultimate goal. and so should you all guys #fruitfairy50k #foods4thought
🍔 using a large round cutter, cut your tempeh block into a large disk, then cut it in two (for two tempeh patties)
🍔 in a shallow container, mix : 2 tbsp tamari, 3-4 tbps water, 2 tbps maple syrup, 1 tbps olive oil, 1 tbsp bbq sauce (or tomato paste), 1/2 tsp liquid smoke, 1 crushed garlic.
🍔 marinade the patties overnight (or 2-3hrs minimum)
🍔 grilled on the bbq or, like me, 2-3 min each side in a pan!
