Finally had a chance to go get some photos of my new project! Working at @evolveautomotive it was only a matter of time before I got an M car of my own, and I've always loved the E36 shape. (nothing to do with them being the cheapest, honest)
Travelled up to Scotland to pick up this 1997 E36 M3 Evo in Techno Violet. It's done roughly 95,000 miles as the clocks have been changed, and along with the questionable exterior modifications has had the interior changed to black from grey, BBS RC wheels from a 328i and @bilsteinuk B12 suspension.
First job was to refurbish the brakes after finding the pads had separated and one caliper was in bad shape. At the same time the engine and gearbox oil were changed. Next up was a much needed Alarm thanks to @kamice1.
The clutch was awful so a braided clutch line from @hackengineering was fitted to raise the bite point.
And of course, it had to have an @eventuri_ fitted! At the moment it's just a housing attached to the MAF, but I'll be sorting some form of air vent to feed it ambient air.
Next up is to sort some dodgy wiring and un-modify.
Thanks to @astons_life and @hashy_vxr for their help so far, and much more in the future 😂 #E36M3 #TechnoViolet #TLDR
