It's a warm humid Sunday in May and perfect for a mellow #VinylAndBeerSunday. I was in a mood for something tuneful and acoustic-based tonight. As I was thumbing through my records, I came upon the 1971 release from CAT STEVENS. His early 70s albums were excellent - and TEASER AND THE FIRECAT is right up with the best of them. The disc contains classics such as MORNING HAS BROKEN, PEACE TRAIN, and MOONSHADOW. But it has lesser known tunes that are just as enjoyable, wonderful, and engrossing. It has been a while since I played some CAT STEVENS. I guess the recent GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film played a big part in selecting some of his music tonight. I have accompanied the mellow tunes with an excellent IPA from DOGFISH HEAD. Their 60 MINUTE IPA is smooth, hoppy, and absolutely delicious. A perfect partner with the classic album. So.....What are you listening to tonight? What are you drinking?
