Ready for my Sunday cheat meal ✌🍔🍟 I've been really looking forward to today because I've been reverse dieting after my show!
This is actually the first time I've managed to reverse diet.. I've been competing since 2013, but no coach ever told me that that's what I need to do, so after every show I ate everything in sight and gained 7-10kg (15-22lbs) in 2 weeks, felt and looked terrible.
It's not easy sticking to a strict plan and slowly increase calories, since I plan to compete again in 10 months, but this is what I have to do to in order to grow and have actual progress for my next show.
YES I crave cookies, cupcakes and icecream, but what I crave more is accomplishing my goals.
When I say I'll do whatever it takes, I mean it.
Not just 12-14 weeks before my show, but EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I can't remember the last time I did these, hence I was only able to do 8 reps x 4 sets, but this is where I'm at after having such a long break but have start back somewhere 💛

Focus for next week will be on controlling the movement better, so less twisting when performing the lifts. As my core strength increases this should essentially become much easier!

Once I feel my technique + form are on point, I'll slowly increase my rep or weight range to ensure I'm making progress. You can try these without weights or on your knees to begin with and each week look at increasing the difficulty to ensure you are challenging your body & forcing it to adapt, improving your strength + stability!
