RACE RECAP: Cognito Motorsports wins the 2017 SCORE Baja 500
The 2017 SCORE Baja 500 has carved a place in history for the entire Cognito Motorsports team. The Baja 500 course and terrain is known to be one of the roughest races, with a 515-mile loop starting and finishing in downtown Ensenada. Cognito Motorsports, with many close wins and strong finishes, has longed for a win in Baja. Justin Lambert, owner of Cognito Motorsports, and Mitchell Alsup split driving duties breaking the race up into three different sections. Lambert started the race with Alsup navigating in the right seat; at RM240 Alsup jumped into the driver seat taking the Polaris RZR from RM240 to RM395. At that point, Alsup moved back to the navigating seat and Lambert finished the race from RM395 to RM515.
