Hey heyyyy everybody! Got lots of new people on here so I thought I would introduce myself and share my story. My name is Kendra and I live in Bellevue, Washington in the pacific north west!
My fitness and health journey has been ALL over the place as long as I can remember. I have always been involved in some sort of sport such as dance, competitive cheer, gymnastics, rock climbing, and swim. It was at the transition from high school to college where I lost my interest in those sports and decided I did not want to do them anymore.
With that being said, the transition to college was hard, I did not know how to work out on my own, and when I tried to go to the gym I messed around and had no idea what I was working or what I was doing. Alongside that, my health was diminishing. College is a stressful time and I became anxious ALL the time, which led to poor eating habits.
It wasn’t until my second year in college when I heard about virtual online coaching. As I took an interest in the idea, I had also decided on what I wanted to study, which was Kinesiology, Physical Education, and Spanish. As my major introduced me to knowledge about health and fitness I became OBSESSED!
This only made me want to do more with fitness and health than I was able to do at that moment. As I hit walls and had various highs and lows in the middle of college, I found that the inspiration from virtual coaches on my social media was really drawing to me.
So I decided to reach out and take a leap of faith. While it has been a crazy experience thus far, I could not have made a better decision than to start coaching. I am now working out consistently and pairing it with a healthy eating platform. CHANGE is hard and makes me anxious, but with support and accountability from groups who are going through similar struggles, it has made me stronger physically and mentally.
I am just kickstarting my coaching journey and am sooooo excited to be here!
