KIND OF A LONG READ, but necessary..
Over the last several weeks and even, dare I say, months.. months. There have been many hurdles, obstacles, shit storms and pollution in the atmosphere above and surrounding the Team’s HQ. Unfortunately it has lead to a few really terrible setbacks and enough checks of reality to last a lifetime. I have always prided myself on giving without expectation and caring for every individual that comes across my radar to the absolute best of my ability; however, it’s only just recently that I’ve been reminded - in a really hard and systematically disheartening way - that you can have the best intentions but if your headspace and execution of those intentions are cluttered, distracted and seemingly disingenuous then it will reflect in your productivity, mood, happiness and ultimately your success.
If your mind is cluttered, then how can your road to victory be any cleaner?
It can’t be.
I’ve really let my team, my friends and my whole home base down recently. The people most responsible, not just for my success as a coach and therapist, but for my ambition and validity as an educator, healer and confidant.
Sometimes the best way forward is to take a step back and reassess what’s important and what is clutter. Believe me, the losses you will endure Will greatly outweigh any problems, trauma or toxicity that you allow to obstruct your view of the Horizon. Don’t get closed off just because you’re struggling to see over the retaining wall of stress and destructive bullshit you allowed to be built at your feet.
it’s too late for some sinking ships to be salvaged, and for those I recognize the patience it took to hold fast as long as possible, And for that I’m grateful. And for the crew who has remained on board and docked, your captain recognizes your undeserved but incredibly appreciated forgiveness, patience and understanding.
Growing, evolving and progressing can be different processes for different people but as long as the outcome is positive and productive then try to remember that you don’t have to beat yourself up as long as you didn’t allow the hurdles to beat you up first.
Thank you. -M
