The initial target I gave myself was between 11kg - 15kg (gained 11kg during my first pregnancy and 15kg was the maximum I gave myself to put on if I was to ever go beyond that, which is still within the “healthy” range). At the end of my pregnancy right before our second #MiniPaaNass was born, total weight gain was 8kg (very well below what I expected and he weighed a whopping 3.2kg at birth). 12 days postpartum and I have a total of 2kg left to go back to my pre-pregnancy weight. All this would not have been possible without CrossFit and being a lot more mindful of my food intake throughout my pregnancy as I never believed in the whole concept of “eating for two”. And now I’m just counting down till I can go back to the gym because I’ve been having MAD #barbellwithdrawals and missing the #wolfpack a whole lot!
