They're both going to work as Front Desk Managers with additional tasks. Morris is studying physical therapy so he will help us to prevent and eliminate injuries for our members. Marco is studying Sport Health and Management and he is going to support our community with helping our management team.

Beste leden van de CrossFit community,
Dit weekend staat er weer een mooie OPEN WOD op de planning, namelijk 17.4. Wij willen doormiddel van dit berichtje jullie informeren om zo goed en veilig mogelijke manier te trainen.
Wat anderen doen, beslissen en toelaten qua uitvoering en onveilig bewegen vinden wij niet belangrijk. Wij blijven standvast achter onze visie staan. Wij staan achter technisch juist en veilig bewegen tijdens iedere training en beweging.

Wij willen iedereen erop attenderen dat we mensen stil gaan zetten die niet technisch juist en onveilig bewegen. CrossFit is een geweldige sport. Helaas laat Youtube soms iets anders zien. Daar willen wij absoluut niet aan meedoen. Leave you ego at the door… Alle deadlifts etc etc willen wij netjes uitgevoerd zien worden. Wees daar ook als judge scherp op. Techniek en veiligheid staat boven performance!
Dus pak geen RX als je daar nog niet aan toe bent, wees kritisch op elkaar als je aan het judgen bent en geniet ervan dat je een member bent van de CrossFit community!

Good news Ladies...
@crossfitnijmegen bought 3 brand new Eleiko female training barbells.
Now we have a total amount of 27 Eleiko barbells and some other ones as well. Enough so that everyone can train at peak performance.

Great gymnastic improvement in the Ring Muscle Up for "our" female master @your_physical_coach πŸ‘.
Many people lift their feet to high after a aggressive kipping/kip.
Then it's really hard to turn yourself over the rings into the deep dip position.
So, the most efficient way to make a ring muscle up in our opinion:
1) hang in the rings with a tensed body (think of the exercise hollow body)
2) start the gymnastic kip/kipping by bringing the body from hollow to arched (stay tensed, don't bend to much)
3) when you have the correct lean angle then pull yourself up (chest to ring, the body is still in a straight line)
4) when the chest touches the rings the make a fast transition by pulling your head through the rings (make a fast sit up)
5) catching in the deep dip (make sure the hands are close to the side of the chest to stabilize)
6) dip
