Ah disrespect. Sadly as teachers, we kinda get used to encountering this frequently (especially if like me, you're teaching the wonderful teenage years!). 😝
But it tends to be more forgivable with students as they're just kids - we're the adults here to teach them and mould them into people of character. However, what I find difficult to tolerate is disrespectful adults who really should know better!
As I shared with you last weekend, I had to deal with this last year. But this quote just sums everything up beautifully and made me feel so much better! When someone is disrespectful towards you, know that it is revealing more about their character than it is about your value and worth. It really helps keep you calm and respond in the right way.
So, if you're dealing with rude people in your life, keep respectful, keep your head held high and continue to be your best! Plus, we have to remember who is watching - and I'm not talking about our principle / head teacher, I'm talking about the kids who look up to us 😉. Have you ever had to deal with rude and difficult people at school?
