DAY 8: TRACK YOUR TRUTH
Got your beautiful new power statements handy?
Fab. Whip those puppies out.
THE EXERCISE: If you created more than one power statement, pick one for the purpose of this exercise. The one that resonates the most with you, that makes you wanna stand up and dance. That one.
Write it out at the top of a fresh sheet in your journal or notebook. Leave some pages blank following this page.
Starting today, for the next 30 days, you are going to track moments, miracles, instances, incidents, events, signs, sayings, people, experiences, EVERYTHING that happened to you that day that proves that your new power statement is true and currently happening in your life.
Each day in your notebook/journal, write down at least 3 things that you noticed that support your new power statement. It’s ok if you only find 1 or 2 in the beginning. You’ll start finding more as the days go along.
This stems from the idea that in order to create a new habit, which we are doing when we change our beliefs, you must focus on the new habit consistently.
Tracking every day is an easy way to do this. It’s also fun. Turns it into a game, like a “Oooh, I wonder what I’ll notice today?” kinda vibe.
Do this every day, and I PROMISE you, you will start to see the shift within those 30 days. Set a reminder to alert you on your phone. Have an accountability buddy keep you in check. Send yourself a carrier pigeon. Whatever it takes.
This is something my own mindset coach taught me and it one of my faaaaaavorite things to do when I’m moving past a mental or emotional block because, with 👏out👏fail, it works every time. Everydangtime.
