I plan to read these books this month but I don't think I can manage to finish them all. 😅 I've only read #Jackaby and #TheKissOfDeception so far, and I've already picked another book to read next out of this pile... 🤔 When will I ever stick to my planned #tbr?! 🙈 I don't think I'll ever know. 😅🙊

Okay! Day 1 for #lilbookishaugust is the August TBR. I have no clue if I'm actually going to make it through all these, but here is the current stack! (Bochy Gnome really does go well. Especially with BB8. Maybe it's because they resemble a bookend...) Minimal changes from when I last posted it. Finished Outlander, and I'm currently on The Yard (down there in the corner). Should finish that tonight at Geeks Who Drink (those scoring breaks are convenient), and then I'll be able to get on with Falling Kingdoms. AND THEN WE GET TO THE GOOD SHIT! Throne of Glass (I'm so excited for that to finally be next up in the stack), a reread of Bloodhound, My Lady Jane and This Savage Song (courtesy of @owlcrate ), followed by a rereading of Cinder through Cress so I can jump into Winter (courtesy of my parents for my birthday last month). And Cursed Child should be joining the stack eventually. That was another birthday present. My parents pre-ordered it, and we're currently waiting for it to come in the mail.

August Book Haul! ✨
.
Okay, it's official, I'm cutting myself off. No more book buying. I know it's a lofty goal, one which I'll ignore for one reason or another, but I'm still gonna try! My aim for September is to at least read more books than I acquire. #goals #imoutofcontrol

See any books here that you also want to buy? #booknerdsunite 🤓

Having a late lunch today I couldn't help but keep reading this beauty!! The Heirs so far has gripped my attention and kept me reading page after page to learn more and more. People you think you know are sometimes people you don't know at all.

Authors, do you need books in ten different cities? We love that challenge. Find out how we can help! Call us at 1-800-CEO-READ.

[EDITOR'S CHOICE] Dr. Tasha Eurich's new book is a sometimes uncomfortable, always powerful eye-opener to what it takes to be truly successful. Link in the bio to read our review of INSIGHT.

When your nails match your book!! Hannah goes to a conference one day and gets amazing news! To celebrate she goes and gets provisions for when she tells Matt the great news! Hannah comes home and Matt isn't there. There is no trace that Matt was ever there. She looks through her phone to find his number to call him to see where he is and she cant find it, nor anything else within her phone to contact him.

As she searches through her house she finds that all of his belongings are gone he is Gone Without a Trace. As she obsesses over finding Matt and what happened to him she starts getting texts, calls, letters, and video asking her questions and alerting her to someone watching her. While she obsesses over everything pointing to Matt her work starts to suffer, and she is put in a position of almost losing her job.

After explaining everything to her best friend everyone is starting to think she is going mad, but how would you handle someone being there and gone the next? After getting nothing from her search she starts to find clues as to what happened to Matt. She goes on a ghost hunt of sorts in order to find him. What she finds is not only shocking but also alarming. Katie isn't who she thought she was neither is the people who surround her.

This book deserves more than 5 stars! Mary Torjussen is an absolute master at her craft! She did such an amazing job writing this that I cant wait to read another of her books! When looking for a book I generally look over the reviews to see what people are saying but I don't always go by tem. And thank goodness I went with the reviews on this one!! It did not disappoint in any way! This amazing read was one that I couldn't put down because I needed to know what was going to happen next! I couldn't help but keep reading when I saw that the twists and turns just kept coming! The clock said 1 AM and I kept telling myself one more chapter, well I finished it. I can sleep when I have finished the book! Mama didn't raise a quitter! LOL

This book was beyond gripping, moving, shocking and amazing to the core. If you love a great thriller where you have no clue what is going to happen next this is the book for you!

Happy Friday friends!! Here's my May TBR and if you're interested, there's a video on my channel too 😊 link in profile! I've already finished Echo Island and really enjoyed it. Now I'm reading When Dimple Met Rishi and loving it! What's on your TBR for the month?

so very excited for my May #TBR stack! It's going to be a great month of reading, and I am determined to finish it all (besides the daily readings). I've started reading "Lincoln in the Bardo" by George Saunders few days ago. It's quite an unique read, but I'll share with you the challenge I ran into in the beginning of the book tomorrow. Besides the two book I didn't finish from last month, I've added five new books. Another ambitious goal, but I got this! Anything look good to ya? Let's get reading! 🤓✌️📚📖
.
.
continual-reading books:
.
-- Atlas Obscura (this book may take much, much longer than I had anticipated. There is just too much good stuff, and I'm reading it slowly, one page at a time. Most likely a yearly read.)
.
-- Tools of Titans (made some progress, but still a long way to go, also may take much longer than I had anticipated.)
.
-- A Reader's Book of Days, this is a year-long reading -- really enjoying this one!.
.
-- 50 States, 5000 Ideas (new, I couldn't resist this book, I just love reading about travel destinations with beautiful pictures. Going to read one state a day.)
.
.
Did Not Read Books from April:
.
-- Lincoln in the Bardo (started reading few days ago.)
.
-- The Sympathizer
.
.
New Additions:
.
-- Haroun and the Sea of Stories (new & impulse purchase, one of the most beautiful book covers I ever seen.)
.
-- Women, Food, and Desire (new, the author was on one of my favorite podcast and really enjoyed her interview, so decided give her a book try.)
.
-- All Over The Place (new, Seattle-based blogger & writer whom I've been following for a long time on Twitter. I am really excited for this one, I already know this is going to be good.)
.
-- Just Mercy (new, I watched a TEDx talk by by the author Bryan Stevenson few years ago and have tremendous respect for the work he does. Mr. Stevenson is a distinguished Lawyer & NYU Professor of Law, and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative fighting for justice for the poor and people of color. If you have not watch his TEDx talk, I highly recommend it.
