Last day of #soulofanation. Sigh. We have learned so much from the artists, curators, DJs, musicians, film directors, actors, writers, poets, collectors, school children, students and friends we've taken through the show. Thanks to everyone and to all our amazing colleagues at Tate. We will truly miss the 160 art works, twelve rooms that have felt like home, and the energy of sharing #soulofanation with 120,000 people... next stop Crystal Bridges and Brooklyn but actually here too: there is so much work in the #tate collection that connects to this show and it is on view for free at #tatemodern #tatebritain #tateliverpool and #tatestives
A special thanks to my friends and co-curators @zoe.whitley and Priyesh Mistry and to the late Barkley Hendricks and to Susan for allowing his painting to be the Icon of our show.
