Congrats to the 2017 Gourmand World Cookbook Award winners which were announced at a ceremony in Yantai, China- something Mark and our foodies were particularly keen to see the results of! And the good news was a number of Australian titles were among the winners and runners-up.
Overall winner: Flavors of Indonesia: William Wongso’s Culinary Wonders by local food expert and chef William Wongso.

#tastyreads foodies bookclub was sheer delight tonight! Indian Kitchen and I Love India inspired so many great dishes throughout the month and burstfuls of flavour in a wonderful array of dishes tonight. Goan pork pie, pani puris, tangy herb sauce, seed & curry leaf cake, stuffed mini eggplant, rice pilaf, prawn & coconut fish cakes are just to name a few. And my fave dish of the night- the mango & cardamon fudge, Mark agrees a tie with chicken curry!
