I'm sure we are all familiar with the Unicorn Frappuccino that launched yesterday at Starbucks. My initial reaction was that it was pretty & UNICORNSSSS?!?! 🦄🦄🦄 Because I'm not done with my cleanse, I couldn't sample it. But I did however read the nutrition facts on it & after seeing how many calories & sugar is in there, I'll pass for sure.
The grande size of this drink has 410 calories & 59 grams of sugar 🤢
But thankfully, a fellow Beachbody coach made a healthier version of this popular drink using Shakeology! She was also gracious enough to let us in on the recipe. So thank you to her! ============================================
1 scoop vanilla Shakeology (regular or vegan) -- divided into thirds
1/3 c blackberries
1/3 c pineapple (I also added a couple of pieces of mango)
1/3 c strawberry
I blended 1/3 scoop of Shakeo + fruit + water + ice (to my desired consistency) in my blender -- so basically, its like making 3 mini shakes. I poured each into a small bowl after I blended it, so I ended up with one bowl of purple (blackberries), one bowl of light yellow (pineapple + mango), and one bowl of pink (strawberries). I started out blending with coconut milk -- because hello, tropical, lol -- but I ran out, so I finished my mini shakes with water (you can mix so you aren't getting as many calories from just the coconut milk, OR use only water or only coconut milk). Then, I scooped some out into my mason jar for the blended visual effect, and even topped one with sprinkles to make it look pretty! ============================================
The great thing about Shakeology is that you can satisfy your sweet tooth without all that sugar & calories.
I plan to make this when I receive my Vegan Vanilla Shakeology in the mail any day now! 🦄
