Maqluba, the dish includes meat, rice, and fried vegetables placed in a pot, which is then flipped upside down when served , hence the name maqluba, which translates literally as "upside-down". Thanks @sarabclever ! When I have a chance to cook this dish I will be posting mine too!

#Lentils & #basmati rice cooked with toasted spices and topped with delicious fried onions. So good! Goes perfectly with the refreshing #cucumber salad (altho I messed up and used waaaay more cuke than I was supposed to, but it was so good I'll prob do the same next time!)

I know it was #tacotuesday but I had a hankering for lamb meatballs! Used @wholespice merguez seasoning, toasted pistachios, pomegranate molasses, parsley, panko, and an egg. Baked at 375, glazed w Pom molasses & honey and served them w a yogurt pomegranate sauce. @bassman_dl gave them a hard-earned 👍🏻
