This past weekend has come to an end, wrapping up 2 days of Tac Carbine with Bill Blowers of Tap-Rack Tactical, with 2 days of Tac Pistol prior to that. Although at times it felt like we were "swimming" in this oppressive humidity, it just forced us to dial it in even more.
No joke, this was a demanding class for me. Thankful for such an encouraging husband, Paul, to push me to work for what I want, and take this class to put in the sweat to achieve my goals.
With just about 125-300 total rounds out of the AR platform prior to taking this class, I just wanted to shoot to the best of my ability, and was encouraged to do just that. Grateful that Bill encouraged the class to set their own standards and not focus on anyone else. It helped to hear this more than once.
Taking that into consideration, I just tried to focus on my own cadence, results and skill level, to be honest with myself of where I am at at the present time. Although I can certainly say at times I did get frustrated with myself, but just tried my best to work through my deficiencies.
But also wanting to find my fail points, to then review, diagnose why, then get to work on developing a plan to address issues.
Pretty stoked to have some data on where I'm at and now to know on where to start shaving time down. Now Paul and I can really dial in our training plan together. Pretty incredible to be able to take these classes with my love and have the same frame of reference.
Great group of shooters, looking forward to getting my learn on again soon. Way to go Paul on those Overwatch triggers!
