Jess Ann the winner from our ostomate giveaway shares with us,
So Digby was born in Tamworth after 2 days of no bowel movement a distended belly and spewing up green stuff he was airlifted to royal hospital for womwn in randwick he was diagnosed at 8 days old that he had hd with confirmation from biopsy. He was meant to go in for surgery on day 15 but started having breathing issues on day 20 he went in and he end up having an Ilestomy done as the large intestine was worst then they initially thought. After having the surgery done he was going so well. After spending 4 weeks in Sydney we were transferred back to Tamworth hospital to just get he's feeds right but after a long 3 weeks and struggling breath he was chopped back to Sydney. After doing a sleep study and a LOB he was diagnosed with having an obstruction which was a small bottom jaw and a big tounge so is on BIPAP for sleep they are hoping it is just something that will just mature and be able to come of the BIPAP in the future so with the obstruction it's not safe at all to have anything oral so he has a ng tube.
We are going back in September and will be having pull through January.
