One of Anna’s @vibrantheartyoga favorite yin yoga poses! It’s called deer pose and when it’s practiced on both sides, it stimulates many helpful acupressure points. Try it today for 2-3 min on each side. Modification tip: if bending the leg backwards is uncomfortable in any way, sit up on a bolster, blanket or zafu. This extra height helps you keep your spine straight (important) and allow the fascia to move and stretch in safe ways. Contraindications: Recent surgery or injury in the knee, ankle or low back. As always, if you experience pain in a posture, come out of that shape and assess your needs. No yoga should be painful! #loveyou

Let’s relax with this tasty pose for our #TuesdayTips ... #childspose or #balasana. Take a deep breathe and really melt into this asana,and today let’s focus on breathing some length into the torso, start by stretching your arms and fingertips forward, on an inhale lift your sit bones just slightly away from your heels. Reach the arms even longer while you draw your shoulder blades down the back. On an exhale, start to bring those sit bones back down onto your heels again without moving your hands. Breathe in that nice juicy stretch 🙏🏼 Why we love this pose?!
