Last year today, my cousin, Devyn went missing and was found frozen to death not too far from his car, warm clothes, or what I would call help. |
Yesterday, at the stoplight, I ironically saw the Texas Search and Rescue Unit out raising money. Never have I seen them (or another unit ... ever) collecting money, but I knew exactly what I was called to do, in honor of my cousin. |
The mental health and drug epidemic in America is disgusting. The way we sweep it under the rug and look at everyone else as the problem is gross. Many never discuss it and act like it never happened. If we ourself were the abuser, we may even try to normalize it. Of course, it would be taboo to discuss out loud if our families were directly affected, cause then real conversations and change would have to take place. |
I challenge you to speak out and help others, share your story, or be a change maker before you negatively impact your life, the life of everyone around you, or an irreversible tragedy hits your family. | *****
To those who need help:
People love you more than you know. Get help. That's the bravest most couragest thing you can do. 🖤 You can do it.
Family members and friends:
Pay attention to our babies. These issues are starting so young for starters Love on your kids. Build up their confidence. Be an active parent and be in the know. :: For everyone else remember, hurt people hurt people... but everyone needs love and support. Set boundaries. Love from a far. Offer support and help them get help. Do not be an enabler and do not fuel the b.s. Do not turn a blind eye.
