I don’t have hours to spend cooking food and at a guess, neither do you! But having some things on hand in the fridge to make a quick work lunch for the office or on the go can save you time, money and help to keep you energised during a busy week for sure! ☺️

Here’s what I often do on a Sunday -boil a few 🥚 a batch of quinoa, oven cook a couple of chicken breasts, chop up veg and make a dressing of some sort. (Yoghurt, a squeeze of lime and chopped cucumber is a good one) Throw it all into separate tubs and voila! It takes less then 30 minutes. Dish it out when you fancy, add any toppings you like - my favs are avocado, hummus or seeds of some sort and it’s ready to serve. A well balanced lunch that’s quick, convenient and nourishes your body with lots of self ❤️ .

I strongly dislike the word "diet"... well, actually I really dislike is what we've DONE to the word "diet". You can't help but hear "diet" and cringe a little bit. Roasting & spicing up some nuts for snacking during the week. Roast a lb of mixed raw nuts in oven @ 350 for 15 minutes. Place on parchment paper do no sticking. 😊 While roasting mix a 1/4 tsp of each In small bowl. Cayenne pepper, cumin, pepper, sea salt, & garlic powder. Also melt 2 Tbsp of coconut oil. Once nuts are done roasting mix with spices & Coconut 🥥 oil in bowl. Place back on parchment paper to cool. YUM! Homemade deodorant, i love it and have been making this for years. It's so easy, smells gorgeous and works better than any store-bought alternative that i ever bought. Here's the recipe: 2 tbsps of each melted coconut oil, cornstarch and baking soda. Stir well. Add 5 drops of essential oil. Ik use sage & pine as they work superb against sweaty odours. Then orange or lemon for freshness and then sometimes lavender or in Winter cinnamon. Stirr well, if it's too dry add a bit more coconut oil, it should be a nice smooth paste. Put in a little jar and let harden, i put it in the fridge for a few hours. No chemicals needed 😀 Enjoy your Sunday folks!

Good morning #fitfam ☀️ Today I want to talk about one of the reasons people don’t continue to workout and it’s because they’re TOO SORE😱 Yes this is a thing and it makes sense for someone who is new to working out or even someone that does a very intense way of working out that their body is not used to. So today I want to give you all a couple tips on how to counteract the muscle soreness and even body aches! And yes I am encouraging you to LISTEN to your body, not ignore it and push through the aches, pains, and soreness. Even a year ago I would have never given this advice, because I did not follow it myself, or care for my body the way I do now.
1) Foam Roll, if you don’t have one, most gyms do or get yourself one online. You can get a regular one, or one with bumps to get even deeper. You can foam roll pretty much any part of your body, your quads, hammies, adductors, IT band, glutes, calves, and back (if you would like me to post on how to foam roll all of the areas comment below or shoot me a DM).
2) YOGA🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️ I have come to LOVE yoga and the way it helps my #mindbodyandsoul To sit in silence with myself and my never ending thoughts used to scare the absolutely crap out of me. But the more I have #meditated the more I have truly enjoyed yoga. To supplement your workouts and sore muscles I recommend #restorativeyoga or #gentleyoga
3) Epsom Salt!!! Your girl over here is an #empath and a #pisces so to get me out of a bath is merely impossible. Epsom salt baths are a beautiful way to relax, get rid of toxins, and help those sore muscles recover. There are also a couple things you can do during this time! Try meditating, reading a book, or listening to a podcast. If sitting in a bath for awhile is uncomfortable start with 10 minutes and work your way up to at least soaking for 20 minutes 2-3x a week🛁
4) If your budget allows for it, get yourself a massage because you DESERVE it hunny! This will not only help with sore muscles, but also relaxing the mind, and tuning into the divine as well🙏🏼

So I pushed myself HARD the last four days! Back to back workouts and walking everywhere has got me sore, SORE, SORE! And knowing that I have to jump on a plane in a couple hours, I took some time for self care today and stretched, and breathed, and took it all in.

I am so incredibly thankful and blessed that I have this amazing body that might ache and be mad at me when I push it, but it works! And I'm so thankful that I've had the amazing opportunity to learn and grow from so many amazing people this week! .
