Ever wonder what Lake Tahoe & the Tahoe City Dam will look like in 1000 years?
Swipe to see drastic change in just a few years in Tahoe City & join a special presentation THIS Thursday, October 18, about the "Tahoe Timescape" project from @TahoePublicArt at @sierranevadacollege.
Tahoe Timescape is a public art project by experimental philosopher and artist Jonathon Keats that will photographically document the next thousand years of environmental change in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The project deployed four Millennium Cameras around all four shores of Lake Tahoe, each one taking a thousand-year-long photographic exposure between 2018 and 3018. One camera is at the Tahoe City Dam!
Panel Talk in the SNC Tahoe Prim Library: Thur. Oct. 18, 5–6pm with Jonathon Keats, Geoff Schladow & Russell Dudley, moderated by Mia Hanak. Reception in the Tahoe Gallery to follow.
Enjoying the 6:30ish sunsetting scene.... as I'm off work and pedal my #blessed self home, I stop to be #grateful for today. To enjoy the place we call home and work so hard to maintain. To think several weeks ago this place was packed with tourists and world travellers of all kinds... and now they are gone and I remain here In this place so desired for a reason. For its special and unique beauty and its peace. #bethankfuleachday#lovethelifeyoulive#tahome#kingsbeachlifestyle
