Playing Biosphere with two of my favorites! This was an Essen pick up from publisher, DDD Verlag GmbH, and it's a great one.
You play as 1 of the 6 children of Artaois and Branwen, the First Father and First Mother, as you compete to bring order to the creations that have spread unrestrained across the biosphere. This is kind of your fault, by the way, as you each added a creation type to your parents' world. So now you need to fulfill 5 of the 7 randomly selected assignments revealed at the start of play to best achieve order and be named "Lord of Creation." Oooh, such a fancy title!
Right, so how do you do this? Well, you bring order using evolutionary points received each round. You have to spend these to increase tracks for populating, movement, or how many evolutionary points you receive, to buy cards that will give you different track increases for populating specific environment tiles, to adjust your species characterisrics in order to exactly match the requirements on those cards you bought in order to use them or save some up for the next round. These are all great benefits but you can't get too big too fast so make sure to evolve carefully. And, everybody dies so watch the age dial to know which of your population is next. Becoming the esteemed "Lord of Creation" takes planning and possibly a fair bit of blocking your siblings in their quest. Sibling rivalry is real across all species obviously. I *may* have accidentally on purpose blocked some spaces that The Ron needed to win but he totally deserved it. #SiblingRivalry #Payback
