Healing the body takes a holistic approach.
I believe there are 12 key areas of our life that will either create harmony and health or disharmony and disease.
One of the areas I share principles on is creating a healthy body from the inside out.
Our digestive system is like a river.
We can either have a clean stream that flows with ease, grace and purity, or
A muddy dirty stream that is full of rubbish and clogs the flow.
What we put into our body filters through our entire system.
Fruits and vegetables have an abundance of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, protein, fats, carbs, fibre and they are full of antioxidants, natural antibiotics and antivirals... Simply put they provide the best environment internally for our bodies to heal and thrive.
I love creating new recipes and ideas from a purely whole food plant based selection.
Today for lunch I made a veggie stack... Sliced toasted sweet potato and white potato, fresh tomato, blanched green beans, zucchini fritter, fresh coriander, garlic hummus, basil and pine nut pesto and a tiny drizzle of balsamic vinegar mixed with olive oil and tamari which I had dressed the beans in.
Bursting with flavour and so much goodness.
When we love and care for ourselves we make choices that create optimal health and vitality.
Baby steps though. Simply add more whole food at every meal.
An apple at breakfast.
A salad with loads of greens at lunch.
Some crisp blanched veggies at dinner.
And veggie sticks or more fruit if you snack between meals for example.
It’s not rocket science 🔬
