Got lucky with the primo conditions and managed to send my project Anger Management V11 today!! The complete video is on my Vimeo page, link in the bio. Special thanks to my climbing buddy @_amy_dunlop_ for making the whole process really fun, and I'm so glad we both got this. Now, time for something new!
Tick!!! Nutha one bites the dust.. new lines in sydney.. who would have thought???? Called it ‘Slippery When Wet’.. Grade yet to be confirmed (probably not that hard)😉 high balls are mostly a battle between your desire to tick and your body’s need to remain alive, mates like @tomdenmeade who are prepared to come help haul foam on their rest days certainly help sway the odds #climbing#sydneybouldering#rockclimbing#bouldering
Another year, & another AUS Bouldering Nationals done & dusted. I’ve been gradually building strength back up since mid-way through the year & super satisfied with how things are progressing. I’ll probably feel properly back in-step, in time for +30’C late December days. Go figure. Last wknd (once again) highlighted that I still don’t train for dynamic slab run/jumpy type problems. I still hold firm that it’s a total pain to be stuck with one for 5 unrelenting minutes. With that in mind, and a poorly timed fever, I’m pretty proud of my final Aus ranking coming in just outside of top 5. I missed out on finals by a few attempts on a top-out.. which is frustrating cause I wanted to climb amongst that atmosphere, but I was also filled with self-doubt about even making it through to semi’s in the first place with such a solid field around. 📷: @an_alston #climbinginjuries#bouldering#climbing_pictures_of_instagram#competitionclimbing#girlswhoclimb#sydneybouldering
