💫 INABILITY (2/17) 💫
Jaide continues her hunt, but the target’s description brings back painful memories. Enjoy!
Glancing up at the list of departures, Jaide made her way to one of the hangar bays that held a transport that would be leaving any moment now. The passengers were being let on, and Jaide headed to the corner of the area so that she could watch them from afar and pick out the features of her target.
Based on the info sheet, she didn’t have much to go off of. He was human, an average height and average build. Short golden-brown hair, eyes somewhere between green and blue. The first time she’d seen the description, Jaide had nearly fainted. It reminded her of him, but she knew that there were many people that looked just like him. Besides, if he were still alive, he would have reached out to her. There was no reason he had to leave.
She blinked, and bit hard on her lip as she honed in on the passengers. Most of them looked like alien refugees that had finally scrounged up enough credits to get themselves off of this cursed planet, but it wasn’t like much of the galaxy was any more beautiful. She didn’t understand why someone would really want to leave this planet, anyway—it was easier to get lost here more than anywhere else. Even more than Corellia, because the factory jobs were the closest thing you could get to slavery and it never turned out well.
Twi’lek, Mirialan woman with several children, one Sullustan… wait. There was a figure behind them in an off white hood that shadowed their face, but the body appeared to be male and humanoid. Jaide edged closer, staying in the shadows, sliding along the wall, and she made sure her blaster was ready to aim and shoot. Doing so made a clicking sound.
