Saturday Spirit Animal - Butterflies
When I see a butterfly, especially in my yard, I basically trip over myself in delight. I followed this beautiful Swallowtail all around my yard today. I've been kind of allowing the yard to go from lawn to a wilding area this summer. Allowing the Queen Anne's Lace to flourish, instead of mowing it down, has brought on so many butterflies. I allow my kale and basil to flower and go to seed, and the mullein to flower, bringing with it so many more happy bees and native butterflies! I'd rather have butterflies and bees than a lawn, wouldn't you? ♡
