YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHATS COMING.
I thought I had everything about Infinity War figured out, but I was so wrong and shocked. This movie completely toyed with my emotions. I can't count how many times I got chills in this film, despite tearing up twice. This is a payoff to everything that we've seen in the MCU, and it's not over until Avengers 4. So many similarities to the comic counterpart. This movie spares no expense, and gets right into the action from where we last left off (galactically). The characters just show up, because the directors know that they need no introduction! There have been 19 films thus far and if you don't know that Captain America has been in hiding by the time you watch this film what are you even doing. Anyways, let's get into the review.
Wow. This movie is so amazing. Right from when the Marvel logo starts playing, you know this isn't going to be a casual Marvel film, I literally felt fear just from the Marvel logo and the background sound. I have never had so much joy, excitement, energy sadness, etc from watching a film. My legs were literally shaking right after. Thanos was a brilliant villain. This was not an Avengers movie. This was a Thanos movie. At some point I felt as if Thanos was the protagonist and I sort of sided with him even though I know it wasn't right. He was so brutal, mad, brilliant, the definition of a great villain. Besides Thanos, the characters that stood out to me most were Thor, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man. I wish there was a bigger focus on Captain America, but I'm not complaining because I'm sure this is the best way this film could've turned out. I'm surprised how well the Russo's handled all the different stories going on at once. The movie was very dark which makes sense for Thanos, but still has it's fun moments that don't feel forced at all. The last 15 minutes I feel are the most crucial. I have no idea what's going to come next, but I won't underestimate the Russo's process. I'm seeing it again next week, and possible once more, and will be buying it on Blu-Ray. At the moment this is my favorite superhero film. 9.8/10. Did you hate it/like it/ love it? Let me know what you thought! #SWHub
